The Volkswagen VW emulator steering lock problem is one of the most common problems with the Volkswagen Passat (B6 / B7). The dealer has to order and program a new steering lock, which is simply too expensive and is needed while waiting.

VW Passat cars, coverage from 2006 to 2014. Emulates the electronic steering lock module which contains the steering lock module itself and the key reader (base station) for Megamos-48/46 keys. Emulator replaces both. Must store IMMODATA, ESL_ID and KEY_ID before use. Side effect – the car can be started without a valid transponder key using a suitable key that simply fits into the keyhole.

• Remove the comfort of the car located in front of the 1st passenger seat.
• It takes simple steps to program it and make it work
• Read the ST-M95320 Eerprom comfortably via any device that supports it (vvdi prog, orange 5, ...)
• Save that dump file and write it to the emulator's eeprom.
• We need the original ELV to perform synchronization with our MK3 emulator via the MK2358 connection adapter
• After connecting the OBD plug and the original and mk3 emulators the green and red light will start flashing for 2-3 minutes before the green light only works
• Connect the MK3 emulator in place of the original ELV that is no longer needed.
• Bring comfort back to its place in the car.
• The car starts successfully.

Important note

1- Megamos 48 transponder type:
After connecting the Mk3 emulator the car will turn off and it will be possible to program new keys via the comfort module.
Remote control with 2 proximity keys; 46 Type transponder:
after applying the mk3 emulator the car immo will be disabled and you will not be able to program new keys until you reinstall the original steering lock.
