FCA Secure Gateway Module Bypass box

Starting with model years 2018 and later, Chrysler – Dodge – Jeep – RAM – Fiat vehicles are equipped with a new device called a security gateway module. The purpose of this module is to prevent CAN bus hacking via the 3G or LTE network. Infotainment.com and OBD Genie use this bypass temporarily to enable a feature.

Gateway Locations for 2018-2019 Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/RAM

INSTALLATION

Simply locate your security gateway module and disconnect the two connectors. Connect the two connectors to the bypass device. Start your OBD Genie programmer and wait for the green LED to illuminate. Once the function is operational, you can remove the bypass device and connect the security gateway module just as it was when it was shipped from the factory. This device should only be connected temporarily while programming the vehicle using the OBD Genie dongle.
