Which cars can the AutoLink AL529 read?

The AutoLink AL529 is suitable for reading cars with OBD2, regardless of the car brand. Older cars that still use OBD1 cannot be read with this scanner. The AutoLink AL529 supports all OBD2 protocols, all 29-bit Canbus systems and all 10 test modes. Determine here whether your car has OBD1 or OBD2.

Read engine management error codes
The AutoLink AL529 reads error codes within the engine management system of OBD2 vehicles. Error codes are displayed with descriptions. It is also possible to delete error codes from the engine management, causing the dashboard warning light to go out.
View Live Data and Freeze Frame Data
If a fault light on the dashboard comes on, the vehicle has created an error code. The error code was created because one or more sensors in the vehicle measured an abnormal value. With Live Data and Freeze Frame Data you can view the values ​​of sensors to gain more insight into the cause of an error code. The AutoLink AL529 also allows you to save data and replay it later.
Request I/M Readiness test status
OBD2 vehicles are monitored by performing self-diagnosis on emission-related systems. This data is monitored during the driving cycle. Depending on the type of vehicle, there can be up to 11 different monitors. With the AutoLink AL529 you can view the status of each individual monitor. It is also possible to request the status of the emissions test / readiness test (used for MOT inspection) at the touch of a button.
O2 Sensor Test
O2 sensors are one of the most important sensors in a vehicle and measure the amount of unburned oxygen in the exhaust gases. The vehicle's on-board computer uses this data to continuously adjust the oxygen:fuel ratio. This not only gives you the best return from your fuel, the exhaust gases are also less polluting to the environment. If the O2 sensor does not work or does not work properly, the fuel consumption of the vehicle will increase. Because a malfunctioning O2 sensor will not always generate an error code, it is advisable to test the O2 sensor regularly.
